Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapy license
- Experience providing occupational therapy support in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and requirements
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments for students referred for occupational therapy
- Develop, document, and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ needs
- Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities
- Monitor and report on student progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Provide direct therapy both individually and in groups, addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care activities
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress discussions
