Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for Massachusetts
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans for elementary-age students
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Knowledge of IEP documentation and progress reporting requirements
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to an elementary caseload, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation
- Evaluate students’ needs and develop personalized intervention plans
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school protocols
- Consult with educators and families to maximize students’ participation in the classroom
- Offer recommendations that foster student independence within the school environment
