Occupational Therapist School Setting - Lusby, MD

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist within the southern region of the county. You'll collaborate closely with educational staff to help students access their curriculum and participate fully in school activities for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time role begins August 10th, 2026, and concludes June 17th, 2027, offering a consistent schedule and the chance to make a meaningful difference.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland Occupational Therapist (OT) License
• Previous school-based or pediatric OT experience preferred
• Strong communication skills for teamwork with educators, parents, and staff
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt interventions to student needs
• Proficient in documentation and implementation of IEP/504 goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy sessions for students, addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skill development
• Conduct evaluations for eligibility and ongoing progress monitoring
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and other therapists to develop comprehensive and practical student support plans
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, providing expert input on accommodations and strategies for student success
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
