Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland Occupational Therapist (OT) License
- Previous school-based or pediatric OT experience preferred
- Strong communication skills for teamwork with educators, parents, and staff
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt interventions to student needs
- Proficient in documentation and implementation of IEP/504 goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy sessions for students, addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skill development
- Conduct evaluations for eligibility and ongoing progress monitoring
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and other therapists to develop comprehensive and practical student support plans
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, providing expert input on accommodations and strategies for student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
