Step into a rewarding opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist supporting students at a single school site! This contract role near Lynden, WA begins on August 27 and continues until a direct hire is secured by the district, offering stability and consistent hours of 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Your expertise will make a real impact on the educational journey and daily life skills of more than 50 students, allowing you to build meaningful relationships while providing tailored, school-based OT support. As the sole OT on campus, you’ll experience the unique satisfaction of driving a comprehensive therapy program and collaborating directly with school staff and families.
What we’re seeking:
- Current Occupational Therapist license (must meet state requirements)
- Demonstrated experience delivering OT services in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and goal-writing
- Skill in evaluation, therapy planning, and progress reporting for diverse student needs
- Ability to collaborate respectfully with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable managing a caseload of 50+ students and handling all related responsibilities independently
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills vital for classroom success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute toward educational planning
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all regulatory standards
- Offer guidance and resources to teachers and parents to promote generalization of skills
