Make a meaningful impact this summer by providing occupational therapy services in an intensive special education environment. A contract opportunity is available for a skilled OT to support students in need of a high level of care. The Extended School Year (ESY) program runs from June 29th to August 6th, with a convenient Monday through Thursday schedule—start your weekends early and enjoy your afternoons free!

In this role, you’ll work with children and adolescents with autism and other complex disorders, contributing your expertise to help them participate and succeed in the school setting. You’ll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct support to students who require substantial and ongoing assistance.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Previous school-based or pediatric OT experience preferred
  • An understanding of best practices for supporting students with autism and complex developmental challenges
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working in special education settings is highly regarded

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services as part of an intensive ESY program
  • Assess students’ needs and develop individualized intervention plans
  • Work with teachers, aides, and families to support student progress and inclusion
  • Provide therapeutic interventions targeted toward self-regulation, sensory processing, motor skills, and functional independence
  • Document student progress and adjust support plans as needed
