Step into a rewarding contract role as an Occupational Therapist serving K-5 students in a supportive elementary school environment. This full-time opportunity runs from September 3, 2026, through June 23, 2027, providing you with a stable assignment where your expertise will make a difference each day.
You’ll work closely with students, educators, and families to help children achieve their fullest potential, both in and out of the classroom. With a 32.5-hour workweek and daily hours from 8:15 am to 2:20 pm—and half-day Wednesdays for students—this role offers both impactful work and desirable work-life balance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for practicing in Massachusetts
- Experience working in a school-based or pediatric OT setting strongly preferred
- Skilled in providing services to elementary (K-5) aged children
- Comfortable collaborating with general and special education teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine their motor, sensory, and functional abilities in relation to school activities
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on IEP goals
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to identified students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive student support
- Maintain thorough records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide resources and strategies to teachers to support inclusion and classroom participation
