Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a current Occupational Therapist license in Illinois (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Demonstrated experience in school-based Occupational Therapy preferred
  • Solid knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and reporting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and family engagement
  • Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans for a diverse range of student needs
  • Familiarity with sensory integration, fine and gross motor interventions, and adaptive equipment use

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess student abilities and needs through standardized and informal evaluations
  • Develop and execute individualized goals in collaboration with educators and families
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services within classroom and individualized settings
  • Support teachers and staff with strategies to promote student access and participation
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Educate school personnel and families on effective approaches, accommodations, and modifications
  • Encourage student progress towards functional independence and academic success
