Occupational Therapist School Setting in Mansfield, TX

Make an impact supporting K-12 students as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year. This onsite, full-time opportunity is based in the greater Mansfield area and offers the chance to serve a diverse caseload with varying grade levels from kindergarten through high school.

You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and other related service providers to deliver direct occupational therapy services based on student IEPs. With a caseload of approximately 45–60 students, you’ll tailor interventions to help each child reach their fullest potential in the classroom and beyond.

Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license granted by the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
• Prior experience working with school-aged children (K-12) is highly desirable
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to delivering culturally responsive and equitable care

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive assessment, therapy sessions, progress monitoring, and documentation for a caseload of 45–60 students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on accommodations and modifications
• Serve as a resource for staff and families to address students’ functional, sensory, and adaptive needs
• Support transitions and promote independence across varied educational environments

This contract role runs from early August through early June, following the school calendar, and maintains a Monday–Friday 8:00–4:00 schedule.
