Your expertise will directly support students’ growth, helping them build essential functional, academic, and life skills. Collaborate with faculty and educational staff, creating and carrying out individualized therapy plans that drive student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Previous experience working in school-based settings
- Strong background delivering OT interventions for high school-age students
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and effective documentation
- COTAs are not being considered for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ needs and write individualized OT plans
- Deliver direct therapy services to high school students in accordance with IEPs
- Consult with teachers and staff to support classroom integration of therapies
- Monitor and document students’ progress towards therapy goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and educators
- Maintain up-to-date therapy records and reports in line with school requirements
