Empower educational growth and make a meaningful impact by providing specialized occupational therapy to middle schoolers in a supportive, collaborative environment. This contract-based role offers the opportunity to work with a focused caseload of two students in 5th and 6th grade, guiding their development and success in the classroom with targeted interventions.
In this part-time position, you will:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services—30 minutes weekly per student—in alignment with IEP goals.
- Assess students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skills to craft individualized strategies.
- Work hand-in-hand with teachers, special education professionals, and others to tailor accommodations and support student access to learning.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to best meet student goals.
- Communicate regularly with school teams to ensure a unified and supportive approach.
- Uphold IEP and regulatory standards throughout all service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Current Georgia Occupational Therapy license and GaPSC certification are both required.
- Previous exposure to a school setting or prior work with students with disabilities is preferred.
- Must be able to provide documentation for clearance.
- Comfortable and capable of providing services onsite (remote work is not an option).
