Occupational Therapist School Setting in Marina, CA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license
• Experience or strong interest in working in a school-based environment
• Familiarity with IEP processes and goal-setting for students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to individual student abilities and needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments to determine students’ functional levels
• Develop, implement, and document individualized intervention plans
• Serve as a resource for staff and families on occupational therapy strategies and student progress
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement
• Maintain thorough and timely records in accordance with school and professional standards
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff development as needed
• Provide direct and consultative therapy services, both individually and in small groups
