Occupational Therapist School Setting in Mariposa, CA

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in California
• Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
• Ability to work in-person throughout the full school year
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Organized, flexible, and able to adapt to a changing caseload

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students according to IEPs and district guidelines
• Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
• Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student success
• Attend IEP meetings, provide input, and contribute to the development of student goals
• Monitor, maintain, and adapt equipment and therapeutic materials as needed for student use
• Support students’ participation in classroom routines and activities
