Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) licensure in California
- Experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
- Ability to work in-person throughout the full school year
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organized, flexible, and able to adapt to a changing caseload
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students according to IEPs and district guidelines
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with special education staff, teachers, and families to support student success
- Attend IEP meetings, provide input, and contribute to the development of student goals
- Monitor, maintain, and adapt equipment and therapeutic materials as needed for student use
- Support students’ participation in classroom routines and activities
