This full-time, onsite contract spans the academic year, with multiple openings available. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in California, or eligibility to obtain one prior to start
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds are welcome
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Comfort adapting to the needs of diverse K-12 caseloads
- Ability to document student progress and assessments accurately and promptly
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect OT services to assigned students individually and in small groups
- Conduct assessments and generate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the educational team
- Maintain timely and thorough records, reports, and IEP documentation for each student
- Consult with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into the classroom and home environments
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in school team functions as needed
- Support students in developing fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, and adaptive skills for school participation
