Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist Registration (OTR) and relevant state licensure
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP process and special education services
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Excellent communication, assessment, and organizational skills
- Adaptable, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver a range of occupational therapy services to students, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations
- Develop and implement appropriate therapy plans tailored to each student’s unique needs and goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide detailed documentation as needed
- Collaborate closely with educational staff to promote positive learning environments and integrate OT recommendations into classroom routines
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions, maintaining clear records and communication
- Offer guidance and support to teachers, aides, and families regarding specialized strategies and accommodations
