Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, valid Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, but open to enthusiastic new graduates
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapeutic techniques and IEP process
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and students
- Flexible, organized, and professional approach to working with diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students’ needs related to fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in conjunction with the IEP team
- Deliver direct therapy services and consultative support within classroom or small group settings
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings as required
- Provide training and resources to teachers, staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Adapt therapeutic interventions creatively to meet each child’s unique needs and goals
