Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid Occupational Therapist licensure for the state.
  • Previous experience in a school setting supporting K-12 students strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to connect effectively with students, teachers, and families.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently across multiple grade levels and caseloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students’ needs and develop customized occupational therapy plans.
  • Provide direct and consultative OT services in a school environment, supporting students’ educational and developmental goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure therapy integrates smoothly with classroom instruction.
  • Document progress, write thorough reports, and participate in IEP meetings, advocating for effective interventions and accommodations.
  • Use creative, student-centered strategies to address physical, social, and sensory-motor skills.
  • Stay current on best practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
