Occupational Therapist School Setting in Massapequa, NY

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure for New York
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Strong collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
• Compassionate and patient approach tailored to student needs
• Ability to adapt therapy plans based on student progress and feedback
• Excellent organizational and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct OT services to three charter school students in accordance with IEP goals and district standards
• Assess current student functioning and develop targeted therapy plans to address specific needs
• Maintain up-to-date records and progress notes for compliance and collaboration
• Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
• Monitor and report on student outcomes, making adjustments as necessary for optimal results
• Integrate therapy strategies within classroom routines and educational activities
