As a licensed North Carolina Occupational Therapist, you’ll engage with students and collaborate with dedicated education teams to create supportive, inclusive learning environments.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and current North Carolina Occupational Therapy license (please submit a snapshot of your license with your application)
- Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Familiarity with ECATS documentation and processes
- Ability to travel between itinerant locations as needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions that foster academic participation and functional independence
- Document services, progress, and outcomes in compliance with school and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute informed recommendations
- Adapt interventions and strategies for varying student needs across multiple school sites
This assignment is a maternity leave coverage anticipated to extend through January 31, 2027, with interviews conducted virtually for your convenience.
