Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working as an OT within school settings or a demonstrated passion for pediatric and adolescent populations
• Knowledge of federal and state educational regulations and IEP processes
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, and families
• Ability to develop and implement tailored intervention plans to support individual student needs
• Flexibility to travel between various schools in the New Bern, Havelock, James City, and Merrimon areas

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine students’ fine motor, developmental, and adaptive needs
• Create, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and IEP goals
• Partner with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate students’ access and participation within the general education environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements
• Support staff training and provide guidance on strategies to maximize students’ functional independence throughout the school day
