Embark on a meaningful contract assignment as an Occupational Therapist supporting PreK-12th grade students for the 2026-27 school year. This role offers a 37.5-hour work week and the chance to engage with learners across the New Bern, Havelock, James City, Merrimon, and neighboring areas. You'll collaborate within school environments, providing essential OT services to help students thrive academically and personally.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license required
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric and adolescent OT practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and families
- Flexibility to adapt to diverse student needs and environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Deliver direct therapy and consultative services within school routines
- Maintain detailed, compliant documentation of services and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
- Offer support, education, and recommendations to teachers and staff
- Serve students across PreK through 12th grade in multiple school sites
