Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students ages 5 to 10 as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year. This full-time position, offering a consistent 35-hour work week, centers on delivering high-quality occupational therapy services within a school-based environment. You’ll play a crucial role in helping young learners develop the skills they need to succeed both academically and personally.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
  • Familiarity with providing OT services in healthcare and home health environments is valued
  • Strong understanding of pediatric therapy and age-appropriate interventions
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students ages 5 to 10
  • Deliver direct intervention and consultative services as outlined in students’ IEPs
  • Monitor progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and document outcomes thoroughly
  • Collaborate regularly with school staff and families to support students’ goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on occupational therapy supports
  • Assist with transitions and adaptations for students within classroom environments
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student records and therapy outcomes
