This full-time position, offering a consistent 35-hour work week, centers on delivering high-quality occupational therapy services within a school-based environment. Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings
- Familiarity with providing OT services in healthcare and home health environments is valued
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy and age-appropriate interventions
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local special education regulations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students ages 5 to 10
- Deliver direct intervention and consultative services as outlined in students’ IEPs
- Monitor progress, adjust therapy plans as needed, and document outcomes thoroughly
- Collaborate regularly with school staff and families to support students’ goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on occupational therapy supports
- Assist with transitions and adaptations for students within classroom environments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student records and therapy outcomes
