Occupational Therapist School Setting in Mckinleyville, CA

Step into a dynamic opportunity delivering impactful occupational therapy services in a supportive educational setting close to Mckinleyville, CA. This full-time contract position calls for a motivated OT or experienced COTA to provide comprehensive care across both early intervention and pediatric clinic environments.

You’ll work 40 hours per week, dividing your time between two days of home visits focused on early intervention and three days in a pediatric clinic. This blended approach allows you to support children’s development both in the clinic and directly in their home environments, making a real difference in their daily lives. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible, so candidates with immediate availability are encouraged to apply.

What We’re Looking For:

• Active California OT license or certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) credential
• For COTAs: Proven, hands-on pediatric experience required
• Previous school-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and tailor interventions to individual student needs
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services in both home and clinic settings
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
• Travel locally for early intervention home visits
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other providers to ensure holistic support
• Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing care coordination as needed
