Occupational Therapist School Setting in Mechanicsville, MD

Embark on an exciting contract opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming academic year. Work collaboratively with educational teams to enhance students' ability to participate fully in daily school life. The role is based on the South End of the county and involves managing a diverse, rewarding caseload.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Maryland OT license required
• Experience or strong interest in a school-based setting
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Effective communication and team collaboration skills
• Professional, adaptable, and resourceful in addressing students’ needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess and provide direct OT services to students under IEP mandates
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families for student-centered interventions
• Develop and update treatment plans that foster participation in classroom activities
• Train and guide staff on strategies to support student access and engagement
• Maintain timely, compliant documentation and progress records

Role Details:

• Full-time schedule, aligning with the academic calendar from August 10, 2026, to June 17, 2027
• Two positions available, both serving schools in the South End of the county
