Occupational Therapist School Setting in Merced, CA

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Active California OT license and CTC (required)
• Previous experience working in school settings preferred
• Comfortable adapting to itinerant travel between multiple sites
• Open to teletherapy (Voco) as well as in-person support
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Collaborative and proactive approach with education staff, students, and families

Core Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ needs to develop, implement, and update IEPs and therapy plans
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services onsite or through virtual platforms
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment
• Maintain thorough session logs, reports, and documentation for compliance
• Provide guidance to support staff and training where needed
• Travel between schools within the county as part of this itinerant model
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies for optimal outcomes
