What You'll Bring:
- Current OT licensure in Connecticut
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse K-12 caseload, adapting interventions to meet individualized educational and developmental goals
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective interaction with students, teachers, and families
- Dedication to fostering student independence, participation, and engagement in school routines
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students across multiple schools, addressing both individual and group needs as per IEPs and 504 plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies promoting academic success and functional participation
- Conduct evaluations, generate progress reports, and contribute to meetings to monitor and support student growth
- Offer guidance to staff and families on home and school-based strategies for carryover of skills
- Maintain accurate documentation to comply with legal and educational requirements
