Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state OT license in good standing (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for diverse learners and IEP requirements
- Knowledge of current best practices in school-based occupational therapy
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities, sensory-motor skills, and sensory processing needs within the classroom
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEPs and school goals
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based interventions to help students achieve independence in fine motor, self-care, and classroom participation
- Monitor and document student progress, providing regular updates to educational teams and parents
- Collaborate with educators and other related service providers to integrate OT strategies across settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for data-driven decision making
- Educate staff and caregivers with strategies to support students’ success
