This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a passion for school-based therapy. Located in Mesa, AZ, this contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact supporting children’s development in educational settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Prior experience in schools or pediatric settings as an OT is preferred
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Active OT license in the state where the position is located
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational staff
Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessment, treatment, and intervention plans tailored to students’ individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ participation and success in school activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing school-based therapy services
