Occupational Therapist School Setting in Mesilla Park, NM

Key Qualifications:

• Active NM state licensure (NMRLD) as an OT or COTA
• NMPED certification (can be obtained quickly with prompt application)
• Experience or willingness to supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with school staff and families
• Comfortable traveling between school sites; reliable transportation required
• Commitment to serving all ages in a school setting from ASAP to May 20, 2027
• Open to certified OTs and COTAs

What You’ll Do:

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students across a variety of school sites
• Collaborate with educational teams to create and implement individualized therapy plans
• Supervise and mentor COTA(s) as needed, ensuring high standards of care
• Maintain clear documentation and adhere to school and professional guidelines
• Participate in staff meetings, IEP development, and ongoing student assessments
