This contract position offers the chance to impact learners across multiple age groups, including PreK students with social-emotional or behavioral needs and high schoolers with ASD. Key Qualifications:

  • Current, active Massachusetts OT License required
  • Experience in school-based OT, preferably with PreK, elementary autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and social-emotional/behavioral populations
  • Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborative interdisciplinary work
  • Strong communication skills for partnering with teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt strategies to diverse student needs and learning styles
  • Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with students across developmental ranges

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to PreK and high school students, both individually and in group settings
  • Contribute to IEP development and implement intervention plans tailored to student strengths and challenges
  • Collaborate closely with teaching teams, behavioral specialists, and families
  • Utilize creative and evidence-based approaches for supporting students with ASD and behavioral needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, goals, and progress
  • Serve as a resource for adaptive strategies and accommodations within the school setting
  • Work Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm (22 hours per week), across the contract dates
