Occupational Therapist School Setting in Middletown, DE

Seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to provide occupational therapy services to students in a supportive educational setting for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This opportunity is ideal for someone committed to fostering student growth and contributing positively to the school community on a full-time contract basis.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Delaware OT license or Delaware COTA license
• Experience delivering school-based occupational therapy services preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and families
• Knowledge of IEP documentation, goal-setting, and progress monitoring
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet varied student needs in a dynamic educational environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ motor, sensory, and functional abilities within the school setting
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that support educational objectives
• Work closely with other educational professionals to ensure the best support for each student
• Maintain meticulous records, including evaluation reports, treatment notes, and progress documentation
• Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations to contribute expertise and insights
• Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to support student success throughout the school day
