Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT licensure (or eligibility) in the state
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred
- Solid understanding of IEPs, evaluations, assessments, and intervention planning
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to determine student goals
- Develop and implement effective, evidence-based OT interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to integrate therapy into students’ learning environment
- Document progress and prepare reports for IEP meetings
- Educate and support families and staff on strategies for success
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages growth and participation
