Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) License in Ohio
- Ohio Department of Education (ODE) certification
- Licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Ohio
- Experience in school settings or pediatric caseloads is highly desirable
- Familiarity with both healthcare and home health occupational therapy is a plus
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and caregivers
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in elementary and middle school, both directly and indirectly
- Work effectively with general and special education teams to develop and implement individualized plans
- Conduct assessments and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Provide training, resources, and guidance to school staff regarding adaptive techniques and equipment
- Advocate for students’ needs and support their academic participation
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
