Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of North Carolina (NC OT License)
  • Previous experience as a school-based OT preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educators
  • Ability to manage a caseload across assigned school sites
  • Adaptable and proactive approach to meeting students’ individual needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs for occupational therapy services within the educational setting
  • Develop, implement, and review individualized therapy plans for students
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help students achieve their IEP goals
  • Consult with teachers and other support staff to ensure integrated support within classrooms
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reports
