This contract role offers a balanced part-time schedule—2 full days dedicated to delivering direct occupational therapy services and a half day set aside for meetings and evaluations. The position runs from late August through the end of the school year, providing consistency for both you and the students as you build rapport and watch them achieve their goals.
What You’ll Contribute:
- Provide occupational therapy services in a school setting for elementary students (K-6)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student development
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, assessments, and planning sessions
- Document progress and adapt interventions to meet evolving student needs
- Support a growing caseload, with the flexibility to adjust to changes as the year progresses
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active DE license as an Occupational Therapist (OT); Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) considered
- Experience or strong interest in serving school-aged children
- Ability to work on-site in person; potential to transition to virtual service delivery by August
- Strong organizational and time management skills—especially important with a part-time schedule
- Collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills
