Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting the growth and development of elementary-aged students as an Occupational Therapist. This contract position offers both full-time (40 hours per week) and part-time (at least .5 FTE) flexibility, providing an ideal environment to utilize your expertise in a vibrant school community near Milton, WI.
Your work will be centered in-person on campus, focusing primarily on students from early childhood through 5th grade. With standard hours of 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, you'll also participate in occasional after-hours meetings to collaborate with colleagues and families, ensuring comprehensive care and support for your students.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in schools, healthcare, and/or home health settings
- Previous work with pediatric populations, especially elementary ages (EC-5th grade), highly preferred
- Strong understanding of school-based IEP processes and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Comfort with in-person service delivery and adapting interventions for a dynamic educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students individually and in group settings, targeting functional school participation and independence
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and implement treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support classroom integration and student success
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including some scheduled after standard school hours
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory standards
