This contract position is ideal for a dedicated OT searching for a role that balances professional growth with making a real difference in students’ lives. With a 0.9 FTE commitment, your day will be shared between two welcoming high schools—split between Lakeville North High School (0.50 FTE) and Lakeville South High School (0.40 FTE).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota
- Previous school-based OT experience is preferred
- Familiarity with evaluation, intervention planning, and progress monitoring for school-aged children
- Strong collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with faculty, families, and students
- Ability to adapt and organize across multiple school settings
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive educational experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions tailored to meet students’ IEP goals
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret results for students with diverse needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, and parents
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute expertise, and support advocacy for student success
- Promote skills that encourage independence, participation, and success in the classroom and beyond
