Occupational Therapist School Setting in Minneapolis, MN

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students who receive Setting IV special education services in a dynamic school environment near Minneapolis, MN. This contract opportunity runs from September 21st to January 4th, covering a leave of absence, with the chance of an extension. You’ll work 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing vital occupational therapy services that help students achieve their goals. The assignment is within a well-supported educational setting, with a break during winter holidays.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license and credentials for Minnesota
• Previous experience delivering OT in a school-based setting (required)
• Experience working with students who receive intensive special education services
• Ability to complete agency onboarding and pass a district background check
• Reliable transportation to fulfill daily responsibilities
• In good standing from prior placements if previously credentialed
• Available for work within the set school schedule and assignment dates

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students per their IEP
• Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and special education teams to promote student progress
• Document student goals, progress, and session notes according to district and agency standards
• Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed
• Contribute to interdisciplinary planning for students with complex support needs
• Advocate for students’ functional and educational success within a supportive community
