Ideal candidates possess:
- Indiana licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a school setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teachers, families, and colleagues
- Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans and monitor progress
- Enthusiasm for fostering independence in students with a wide range of needs
- Preference for onsite service delivery to ensure hands-on, interactive therapy
In this role, you will:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary-age students, tailored to their IEPs and specific needs
- Assess, plan, and document student progress, modifying interventions as necessary
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Contribute professional insight during IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team consultations
- Offer strategies, accommodations, and modifications to maximize student participation in the classroom
