An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a passion for working in elementary school settings. This full-time contract position serves students across elementary grades, beginning August 10, 2026, and running through May 28, 2027, in the Mishawaka, IN area. The role is ideally suited for candidates who are eager to work onsite, supporting young learners’ functional, academic, and social success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license in Indiana (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting strongly preferred
  • Comfortable and enthusiastic about serving elementary-aged students
  • Capable of collaborating with educators, administrators, and families
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to elementary students
  • Complete individualized assessments and develop goal-oriented treatment plans
  • Document interventions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school protocols
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team processes
  • Educate staff and family members on strategies that foster student independence and participation in the classroom
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal documentation requirements
  • Adapt service delivery as needed to maximize onsite time and student engagement
