Elementary School Occupational Therapist - Mishawaka, Indiana

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in Indiana (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong evaluation, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, staff, and families
• Comfortable working onsite within school environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct screenings and comprehensive assessments for students requiring OT services
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, and self-care needs
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate interventions into classroom routines
• Participate in IEP meetings by providing professional input and documentation
• Monitor and document student progress; adjust interventions as appropriate
• Promote a positive, empowering learning environment that helps each child reach their full potential
