Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ growth within a dedicated school-based occupational therapy team. This full-time contract opportunity calls for experienced Occupational Therapists who thrive in dynamic, multi-campus settings. You'll primarily serve a southwest Houston area school zone, ensuring continuity for the 3–21 age range across 6 to 7 local campuses—all conveniently located within your assigned area.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Texas required
  • Extensive school-based OT experience
  • Will consider highly qualified COTAs with multiple years of relevant school experience
  • Able to manage a flexible caseload with consult and direct services
  • Familiarity with SHARES school health and Onward software, plus IEP documentation in Excel
  • Willingness to commute within a set zone
  • Must not be a former employee of the district
  • Able to complete fingerprinting per district requirements

Your Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a blended caseload (~70 students), with 30–40 on direct services and the remainder consult-only
  • Deliver individualized OT treatment and interventions in line with student IEP goals
  • Complete evaluations and regularly participate in ARD meetings
  • Work independently as the lead OT, without COTA support
  • Travel between assigned schools (within your designated zone)
  • Accurately document all services delivered in alignment with district protocols
