As an Occupational Therapist in this dynamic environment, you will leverage a range of skills—from in-person interventions to teletherapy, as well as potential home health program collaboration. Your daily impact will support elementary students in building functional, academic, and social skills.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy
- Current Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility) in Illinois
- Solid background in school or pediatric settings preferred
- Understanding of delivering OT in schools, teletherapy, and home health settings
- Collaborative communicator, ready to partner with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Candidates may apply prior to licensure completion, provided all requirements are met by assignment start
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans for K-12 students
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in classroom and virtual settings
- Collaborate with teachers and support teams to adapt learning environments
- Document and report progress, maintaining compliance with educational guidelines
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to support student success
This contract role ensures a steady, full-time schedule of 35 hours per week for the full academic year, supporting both professional consistency and meaningful outcomes for students.
