We are seeking an adaptable and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to work with a diverse K-12 population across four school buildings for the duration of the academic year.
With a start date of August 17, 2026, and extending through May 28, 2027, this role lets you immerse yourself in a close-knit school community while supporting a caseload of 40-50 students. You'll have the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and other related service providers, ensuring students receive the interventions and accommodations they need to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license from the state board
- Prior experience working in school-based OT settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in conducting assessments, developing IEP goals, and maintaining thorough documentation
- Comfortable managing a K-12 caseload and traveling between multiple school sites
- Ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to identify functional impairments impacting academic participation
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans within IEP teams
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families to foster student growth
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and adaptive equipment for improved student independence
- Maintain accurate, timely therapy records in compliance with school policies
- Provide direct and consultative OT services throughout four assigned school buildings
