Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in school-based OT or a related pediatric setting preferred
- Comfortable conducting therapy in both traditional school and home health environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with educational staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across multiple grade levels, addressing fine motor, sensory, self-help, and functional skill development
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain accurate progress monitoring, documentation, and reporting in accordance with district and regulatory requirements
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support students in academic and daily life activities
- Adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of each student in both school and, when needed, home settings
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for student goals and progress
