What you’ll bring:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in California
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, including the development and implementation of IEPs
- Strong ability to assess, plan, and provide interventions tailored to students with varying needs
- Excellent communication skills for working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to supporting student achievement, independence, and engagement within the school environment
- Ability to manage a varied caseload while maintaining organized records and timely documentation
Primary responsibilities include:
- Conducting evaluations and ongoing assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
- Developing and delivering individualized therapy sessions for students, both individually and in groups
- Participating actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams, sharing your insights and recommendations
- Training staff and providing resources to help implement strategies in the classroom
- Tracking student progress and adjusting interventions as needed to achieve positive outcomes
