Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license for practice in California
  • Recent experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting
  • In-depth knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
  • Ability to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, students, and families
  • Compassion, flexibility, and creativity in addressing diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ functional abilities and provide direct therapy services as outlined in IEPs
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to foster student progress and generalize skills
  • Maintain accurate documentation for assessments, progress notes, and IEP meetings
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing expertise and recommendations for student success
  • Adapt therapy techniques and materials to meet varied developmental levels and learning styles
  • Advocate for accessibility and inclusive practices within the school environment
