Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, valid OT license for California
- Prior experience (clinical or educational setting) working with school-age children, preferably across various grade levels
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Effective communicator—able to build rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Cheerful, adaptable, and committed to inclusion and student growth
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-12 students in individual and group settings
- Assess students using both standardized and informal tools; interpret results and develop appropriate therapy goals
- Support students in accessing their curriculum through tailored interventions
- Collaborate in the development, implementation, and review of IEPs
- Offer practical strategies and resources to staff and families to encourage progress and independence
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with all relevant guidelines
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
