This contract position offers a unique schedule—just one day each month for 7.5 hours—giving you the flexibility to balance your career and personal life. You'll work closely with a caseload of 13-14 students, providing essential occupational therapy services. Additionally, you will take on a leadership role by supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), lending your guidance and experience to foster their professional growth.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license
- Success working in school-based settings
- Experience supervising or mentoring a COTA is preferred
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to adapt services to a variety of ages and abilities, from PreK to high school seniors
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and documentation for a caseload of 13-14 students
- Supervise and provide leadership for a COTA
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective student plans
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy goals to maximize student success
- Maintain compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
