Occupational Therapist School Setting - Mount Lemmon, AZ

Make a meaningful impact working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade as a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)! This contract opportunity gives you the chance to utilize your occupational therapy skills in both mainstream and self-contained classroom settings across two sites located near Mount Lemmon, AZ, for the 26/27 school year.

What You’ll Bring:

• Valid COTA certification and state licensure, or eligibility to obtain
• Previous experience supporting occupational therapy in school environments preferred
• Familiarity with the K – 12 student population, including those in self-contained classrooms
• Ability to travel between two assigned locations during the work week
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Commitment to fostering student independence and success in academic settings

What You’ll Do:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in kindergarten through 12th grade
• Work closely with supervising OTs to implement IEPs, monitor progress, and adapt strategies as needed
• Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and functional life skills
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to deliver comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings as required
• Assist in adapting classroom environments and materials for student accessibility
• Rotate between two school sites during the 40-hour work week
