In this essential contract role, you’ll play a vital part in helping students thrive academically and socially. Your hands-on collaboration with occupational therapists and education teams will be key to supporting student independence and participation in daily school activities.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- Active state licensure, or eligibility to obtain before start date
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12), including those in self-contained classrooms, is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel between two assigned school locations
- Effective team player who is adaptable and creative in solutions
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Work closely with supervising OT and school staff to support IEP goals
- Implement therapeutic activities that promote fine/gross motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
- Collect data and document student progress accurately
- Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on student growth
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students
