Qualifications and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active, unrestricted state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous school-based OT experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to assess and implement individualized therapy plans for K-12 students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ functional needs
  • Develop and deliver tailored intervention plans to promote independence and participation
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and allied professionals to integrate therapy into the classroom
  • Prepare IEP documentation, progress reports, and maintain accurate records
  • Provide training and support to teachers and families regarding student needs
  • Offer guidance on adaptive equipment and strategies to enhance student access to curriculum
