In this role, you’ll deliver occupational therapy services to school-aged children to help them succeed academically and socially. This assignment requires 25 days of service to be completed, either by working full-time for five consecutive weeks or by providing support two days per week through the end of the school year. Compensation for this position ranges from $55 to $65 per hour.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current California licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in educational environments
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators
- Dedication to supporting student independence and engagement in learning activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Evaluate students’ needs through assessments and observations
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans with measurable goals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consult with educational staff and families to support carryover of skills in classroom and home environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration
