Occupational Therapist School Setting in Mountainair, NM

This role is focused on delivering occupational therapy services across school-based, home health, and general healthcare settings, working closely with children and multidisciplinary teams. Commitment is four days per week, allowing for a balanced and meaningful work schedule.

Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapy (OT) license in New Mexico
• Educator Certification required
• Prior experience in school-based, healthcare, or home health OT settings is advantageous
• Adaptable and comfortable working collaboratively with educators, families, and students
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to fostering student growth and independence through individualized therapy plans

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect OT services in accordance with student IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to encourage participation in daily school and home activities
• Develop treatment plans and document progress and outcomes
• Contribute to evaluation and IEP meetings, providing expertise in goal planning
• Adapt therapy activities and materials to meet diverse student needs
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation
